Concert for the Parish of Nuthurst and Monks Gate

A Concert for the Parish of Nuthurst and Monks Gate, performed at St Andrew’s Parish Church, the beautiful English Idyl where Ralph Vaughan Williams wrote the great hymn Monks Gate. Performances include: Pachelbel’s Canon; Mozart’s Concerto for Flute D Major KV 314; Barber’s Adagio for Strings; Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto No.3; and Ralph Vaughan Williams’s The Lark Ascending.

Also being performed is To Notice Such Things, by Jon Lord (formerly of Deep Purple) – a composition originally commissioned by Shipley Arts Festival which premiered at St Andrew’s.
